Saving Money as a Daily Part of you Life

Some of you might think that couponing and deal finding is just for the Groceries but as you begin to find these great deals you will notice things you can do in ever aspect of your life that will save a little bit here and a little bit there and soon you will be saving money wherever and whenever you go somewhere.

Here is an example-this is how my kids and I's day went....

*Swim Lessons for Chloe
*Stop at Riteaid for a few Items
-I used coupons of course and spent $6.74 oop but will be getting $8 back in Rebate form
*Stop at Taco Bell to get a drink
-used a coupon for a free Limeade Fresca and paid nothing out of pocket-we all shared
*Went to Grandpa's so Tanner could mow the lawn
*Picked up a pizza and breadsticks at Hungry Howies' Pizza
-used a free pizza coupon from my dixie direct book and only paid $3.74 for the breadsticks
*Went to Great Grandma's and ate and then swam in the Swimming pool we picked up at a Yard Sale.
*planned for Family Night tonight-a trip to Fiesta Fun
-using two free coupons for the bumper boats(each good for two people-also from our dixie direct book) and the kids report cards (they give tokens for every A or B) so this will mean free bumper boats and games-Fun Times!

As you can see we still did a lot and had fun but spent very little money to do everything we did.
IF you keep saving a little here and a little there before you know it you will be saving everywhere you go.

Make $11 Buying Sun Block at Rite Aid

If you read my Rite Aid post you know that I was trying to get the $10 Rite Aid Gift Card for purchasing $25 worth of certain skin care products. Well my rebate went through and not only did it work but I actually am getting back a $10 Gift card and a $5 gift card. Here's a really simple way you can do the deal:

Buy 3 Coppertone Sun blocks at $8.99/piece
=$26.97
-$5/$20 Rite Aid Video Value Coupon
- $9 use 3 $3/1 Coppertone Rite Aid Video Value Coupon (make sure you choose to print 3 times when it asks because you can't print more after that)
-$3 use $1/1 Coppertone printable coupon (you'll need 2 computers but it's still a good deal if you only print 2)
=$9.97 OOP
At the bottom of your receipt should print 3 $2 coupons you can use on your next purchase on anything.
Then enter your receipt on the Rite Aid website and you'll get back $15 in gift cards.
So you'll make about $11!

Rite Aid Trip June 14th

I had a great trip to Rite Aid & Target this morning. I learned from experience last week that if you aren't there first thing Monday morning they're usually out of the stuff you want. So I was very happy to get everything on my list. Here is what I got at Rite Aid: 5 packages of Huggies, 6 Gillette Shampoo, 4 Old Spice Deodorant, 1 Herbal Essences Shampoo, 2 Bayer Aspirin, 1 pkg. of Ivory bar soap, 1 Crest Toothpaste, & 3 Coppertone sun blocks for a grand total of $16.92 OOP (I used a $10 Rite Aid GC so really $26.92). I will get $13.48 back in rebates. And hopefully I'll qualify for the $10 Rite Aid Gift Card for buying the sun block. Plus I'll get a voucher for a free package of Huggies because I bought 5. Not too bad!
Two of the main rebates I was trying to qualify were:

If you buy 5 packages of Huggies between 4/23-7/22 you'll get a voucher for a free pack of Huggies diapers. Get the full details here. The Facebook $3 Huggies coupon has reset here. And the coupons.com $3 Huggies coupon has reset here. So go print those to use.
Rite Aid has new +Up Rewards which work like Walgreens Register Rewards only better because you can roll them meaning if you earned a $1 coupon for buying Huggies you can use it to buy more Huggies which you can't do at Walgreens. So this week when you buy Huggies a $1 coupon will print at the bottom of your receipt that you can use on your next purchase. If you buy 2 Huggies 2 will print even though the Ad says that it won't.

Also if you buy $25 worth of select skin care products between 5/30-7/24 you'll get a $10 Rite Aid Gift Card. If you buy $50 worth you'll get a $25 Rite Aid Gift Card. Go here to see a complete list of participating products. It says "Rebate based on actual price paid (after any & all coupons are used)." Usually it's the price you pay before coupons so I don't know if I'll get it, because I did $25 worth of Coppertone Sunscreen before coupons, but it's still a good deal. Also with the Coppertone Sunscreen you'll get a $2 +Up Reward.

Here is what I did a complete list of sale price and coupons to use is at the very bottom:

I was so excited we had doublers again. Two weeks in a row. Wow! It's been almost a year since that has happened. So of course I was at Albertsons at 6:00 this morning. I was expecting to be fighting a crowd and a line which is typicall for doubler Mondays, but much to my surprise I was the first one there and only 3 more showed up while I was shopping. I was the only one in line so the very nice cashier just let me do all my transaction without going out and getting back in line.
So here is what I got. Yep all of this for under $9. It was $8.89 to be exact. I will break it down by transaction for you.

Southern Utah Albertsons Doublers *Ends Today*

So I am really late getting this posted but if you didn't know you had them or you haven't used them yet you had better get on over to Albertson's before the end of the day.
I didn't even know we had doublers until about 8:30 last night. Due to the fact that after getting home from a 4 day weekend my papers were missing. Yep-gone-without a trace. I finally tracked them down in my very own dumpster-a neighbor thinking they were being helpful and not wanting my house to be targeted for a robbery-with all those papers laying on the doorstep-had thrown them away for me. Well after tracking them down and opening them not expecting to find much, boy was I happy that I had gone dumpster diving-YES we had doublers.

TRIP #1 (at 9:00 last night)

-2 Capri Sun Sunrise $2.00 each (double the $1/1 coupon=FREE)

-Welch's Refrigerated Juice $1.99 each (double the .75/1 coupon = .50 each)

-Smores Stuff (Graham Crackers, Marshmallows, Hershey's Candy Bars (double the $1 off when you buy all 3=$2.49 for all three

-2 Nesquick $1.39 each (double the $1/2=.39 each)

-1 package Koolaid Fun Fizz $1.99 (double the $1/1 printable coupon from my Kraft First Taste Account=FREE)

-Ronzoni Smart Taste Pasta $1.99 (double the $1/1 found in select magazines=FREE)

-4 boxes of Pectin $2.99 each (double the $1/1 coupons I ordered on Ebay price = .99 each plus I received a Catalina for $2.00 so factor that in 3 boxes for .99)

-4 boxes of Post Cereal 2/$4 (double the $1/2 coupons price =$1 per box)

TRIP #2 (this morning with my sister after tracking down 3 more sets of doublers)-sorry no picture for this one.

-3 boxes of Graham Crackers part of the Smore's Promo (used $1/1 peelies found in store and turned this into a .50 money maker, we of course added a small filler to offset this)

-1 box of wheaties in the reduced price cart marked down to $1 (doubled the .75/1 coupon=FREE)

-1 box of Lucky Charms in the reduced price cart marked down to $1 (doubled the .55/1 coupon=FREE)

-2 (8) packs Juicy Juice Juice Boxes-$2 each (doubled the $1/2 =$1 each)

-2 boxes Honey Bunches of Oats 2/$4 (doubled the $1/2=$1 each)

-1 Trident Super Pack Gum $1.99 (doubled the $1/1 =FREE)

-1 Box Ronzoni Smart Taste Pasta $1.99 (doubled the $1/1 = FREE)

*Remember at Albertson's you can only use three doublers per transaction but you can usually just walk around and get back in line or else take your bag of groceries to the car and come back in an do another transaction*
