$20 Off Treehouse Membership Nov 26-Feb29

Our family loves the Treehouse Museum. We got a membership in April and love going as often as we can. It's so fun for the kids to explore. And there are so many awesome things to do. So I was excited when I got this e-mail from them telling about a membership sale that has never been done before.

THANK YOU FOR 20 GREAT YEARS!

Let the Birthday Celebration officially begin!

TREEHOUSE MEMBERSHIPS ON SALE NOVEMBER 25, 2011- FEBRUARY 29, 2012

On February 29, 2012, Treehouse will turn 20 years old! As a "thank you" for your continued support, the Treehouse Board has decided to do something never done before -- put Treehouse Museum memberships ON SALE!

During the "$20 for 20 Years" Membership Sale, held from Friday, November 26 through Treehouse's birthday on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, Membership prices will be slashed by $20. That means you'll pay only $30 for a $50 one child membership, $60 instead of $80 for a two child membership, and only $80 for a three child membership, regularly priced at $100! These are regular Family Memberships with full membership benefits.

Just purchased your membership? Or, your membership doesn't expire until June? No problem! If you renew your membership within the birthday sale window, we'll add a year (plus a month for renewing) to your current expiration date. There is no limit to the number of memberships you can purchase at the discounted price (remember, memberships make great holiday gifts).

We are so grateful for your generous support of Treehouse and its continuing mission to provide educational family literacy experiences through children's literature and the arts. The support of our members is vital to our success.

The "$20 FOR 20 YEARS" membership sale is just the beginning of the celebration! Watch for more fun 20th Birthday events coming soon!

Thanks again,

Lynne Goodwin

Rite Aid Weekly Chronicles

This week I did things a little bit differently at Rite-Aid. My husband has a box a work which he fills up with snacks, that employees then purchase. We use the money made on that to buy more snacks and we usually net a little bit of profit. I noticed that the candy bars were on sale this week at Rite-Aid BOGO Free. So I decided to use money I had from the candy box to buy the items I wanted from the Rite-Aid ad and then use the UP Rewards from those items to buy candy bars for the box. This way it would be no money at all OOP for myself. I think it worked well to bad, many of the items I wanted to get were gone. Not to worry though I got rainchecks.

So here is what I did...
Transaction #1
2-stayfree pads $3.00 each
-used $1/1 stayfree item from 11-6 Sunday Paper
paid $4.37 from the box money
got back $4 in UP Rewards

Transaction #2
bought 8 candy bars .99 each + BOGO
Total $4.23
paid $4 in Up Rewards from previous transaction and .23 from the box money

I think this strategy worked out pretty well and if the opportunity arises I will probably do it again.

Wal-Mart Halloween Items Clearanced 75%

I stopped by my local Wal-Mart today to check out the Halloween clearance and they had marked their stuff down to 75% off. Remember now is the perfect time to buy costumes for next year, dress-ups, hair dye, paper products, treats, and much more.

I have verified this for both of the St. George, Utah locations. Each store is different so you may want to call ahead and ask before you go in.

Hidden Treasures (A Halloween Tale)

Awhile back while playing in Grandma's basement my daughter found this piece of fabric that to her looked just like a mermaid tail. She asked Grandma if she could have it and she told her yes. After all if had probably been sitting down there for some 20+ years. She was just glad someone wanted it and could use it for something. Well my daughter decided that the fabric would sit around no longer she asked her other Grandma if she would make her and her friend a mermaid costume for Halloween with it, and so she did. Here is the end result two cute mermaids and a good use out of a hidden treasure. The moral I guess would be to look around at the things you have that may seem like just a bunch of old junk or something that maybe you should just get rid of, but if you look at them with a critical eye they just might turn out be the treasure you were looking for.
