Toys R Us Games
Couponing isn't all about groceries. I've gotten so many good deals on non-grocery type items. Games being one of them. I love having a stash of games to pull out for birthdays. This is a great week to stock up on some of those birthday presents for cheap. Unfortunately my Toys R Us isn't very close, so I may be sending Jeremy there for me.
The following games are $4.99 this week at Toys R Us. And then after $2 rebate they are $2.99.
Candy Land
Cootie
Chutes & Ladders
Memory
Hi Ho Cherry O
The following games are $8.99, $5.99 after $3 rebate.
Operation
Trouble
Connect 4
Twister
Battleship
The following games are 14.99, $11.99 after $3 rebate
bop it
connect 4x4
Guess Who
Sorry sliders
Plus if you buy $20 or more you get a $5 gift card.
There were coupons for many of these in the 3/21 Smart Source, and if you printed any from the playsaver site I posted about last week, but most of them are gone now.
Here's a scenario I'm planning on doing:
Twister 8.99
Battleship 8.99
Hi Ho Cherry O 4.99
=22.97
- $4/1 Twister game SS 3/21
-$4/1 Battleship IP
=$14.97 OOP
Then I'll get $8 in rebates and a $5 Gift Card. Final Total= $1.97 for 3 games.

Rite Aid Deals 3/21-3/27
As promised here is a chance to try out a cheap diaper deal at Rite Aid. It comes at a great time, because there are 3 different $3 Huggies printables out right now which you can print 2 times each for a total of 6 coupons. The links to the Huggies coupons are in my previous post. There’s a lot of filler items you could use this week I just chose the one that will make the transaction the cheapest. Go to thekrazycouponlady.com to see all of the best deals.
Here’s a transaction
buy:
(2) Huggies at 8.99 each
(2) Ester C 8.99 BOGO
=$26.97
use the following coupons:
-$5.00 $5/$20 here after watching 20 videos
-$6.00 2 Huggies Manuf. Coupon
-$4.00 2 Huggies Rite Aid Video Value Coupon found here
-$10.00 (2) $5/1 Ester-C Tablets, SS 02/21
=$1.97 Out of Pocket. Then you’ll get $1 rebate back for the diapers.
or if you’re after toilet paper here’s a transaction:
(1) Cottonelle $10.99
(2) Ester C $8.99 BOGO
= $20.98
- $5.00 $5/$20 here after watching 20 videos
- $1 Cottonelle Rite Aid Video Value Coupon
- $.50 $.50/1 Cottonelle Toilet Paper, SS 03/14
- $10 (2) $5/1 Ester-C Tablets, SS 02/21
= $4.48 OOP, get $2 Cottonelle SCR = $2.48!!
When you print the video value coupons make sure when the box pops up and asks you how many you want to print you change it from 1 to how many you need. Once you print them you can’t print anymore.

Here are the links:
Huggies coupon #1 (Firefox) or (Internet Explorer)
Huggies coupon #2 coupons.com on page #3
Huggies coupon #3 become a fan of Huggies on facebook
I would print them before they are gone, and save them up for the awesome diaper sale at Rite Aid this week where you can get diapers for as low as $1.50/pkg. I'll post some scenarios tomorrow.
Starting Out
Here are some tips for beginning couponers:
1. Subscribe to the paper (although I go back and forth on whether this is worth it or not. It seems like I go through periods where I either use a lot of newspaper coupons, or hardly any at all. For the time being I still subscribe-I get a paper everyday and 5 papers on Sunday for $19.99/mo.) I've found that you can get a lot of coupons off the internet so it's not completely necessary to subscribe. In fact I would probably suggest seeing what you can use from the internet before you subscribe.
2. Check out grocerysmarts.com or pinchingyourpennies.com. Both places have grocery lists that match up sale prices with coupons giving you the best value for your dollar.
3. Become familiar with the lingo. The grocery lists or coupon blogs will tell you which coupons to use, but it can be a little bit difficult to interpret. I'll break down the following for you:
Litehouse Product, any $1/1 (3-31-10) SS-12/13
$1/1 means if you buy one Litehouse product you will get $1 off. The (3/31/10) tells you when the coupon expires, and SS 12/13 tells you which insert the coupon came out of.
There are 3 inserts that come in the paper.
Red Plum=RP
Smart Source=SS
Procter & Gamble=PG
So this particular coupon came out of the Smart Source insert that came out on December 13th.
Whenever I get the inserts I always label them with the date so I know where to find a coupon when I need it.
I hope this is helpful for those interested in getting started.
