Neighbor/Friend Christmas Gift Ideas-Candybars

This is a project I worked on with my seven year old daughter. They are candy bars wrapped to look like snowmen. She is giving them to her friends at school and I am giving them to a few of the kids I work with. They are pretty easy to make and you can probably find all the supplies at home.

Supplies Needed

-candy bars

-white paper (printer paper or construction)

-paint or ink pad (to make the smile-using fingerprints)

-orange scrap paper (to cut nose out of)

-ribbon or yarn for the scarf

-tape

Here is another idea using chapstick as the theme. Saying to go with it "Hope this chapstick is dandy when the mistletoe is handy!"..

I tied the saying to the chapstick along with attaching a bag of Hershey kisses. I will be giving these to some of the ladies I work with.

Neighbor/Friend Christmas Gift Ideas-BREAD

Here is another idea to give your neighbors, friends, etc. for Christmas-bread. The saying that goes with it 'No matter how you "slice" it you are a great neighbor, friend, teacher, etc'. We made zucchini bread and then attached the saying with a Christmas card. We are giving these to the kids primary teachers and a few of our neighbors and friends. If you have the stuff on hand to make bread and the time then this is a simple and inexpensive way to show someone you care during the holiday season.

Rite-Aid Weekly Chronicles

Here is what I got at Rite-Aid this week...

Lots of candy and a package of Sucrets.

Here is the breakdown...

Transaction #1: Sucrets $2.99; used $1/1 coupon from the Sunday paper; paid $2.18 OOP got back a $2 UP REWARD.

Transaction #2: 6 Mentos on sale 3/$2; used $2 Up Reward from previous transaction; paid $2.11 OOP got back $3 in UP REWARDS.

Transaction #3: 9 Mars Candy Items on sale 3/$2; used $3 in UP Rewards from previous transaction; used 3 buy 2 get 1 free coupons found on peelies in various stores; paid $0.50 OOP.

So $4.79 for Sucrets, 6 mentos, and 9 candy bars or an average of $0.29 per item.

Neighbor/Friend Christmas Gift Ideas

Here is a simple, meaningful, cute, and inexpensive idea to give out to your neighbor's or friends.

It is a roll of wrapping paper with this saying attached... Don't get all "wrapped" up in the hustle and bustle the Holiday Season brings remember the REAL reason for the season.

Last year I picked up a bunch of wrapping paper on clearance for $0.25-$0.50. I printed the saying on card stock I had on hand. Then I attached the saying and a Christmas card to the roll of wrapping paper. Simple and Cute.
I will be posting a few more ideas and things I do for neighbors and friends in the next couple of days so be watching if you are needing some last minute ideas.
