Frito Lay Fan Program

Awhile back I signed up to become a member of the Frito Lay Fan program. A few weeks ago I received an email letting me know that I had been selected to receive one of their sample snack packs. It arrived today and here is what I got:
1 package Tostitos Scoops

1 package Original Lays Chips

1 package Tostitos with a hing of lime

1 Dip Creation Mix

1 Card with Recipes

1 Insulated Tote Bag

I was pretty excited about it and my kids were to. These are by far some of the best freebies and samples I have ever received in the mail. Thanks FRITO LAY!

Sign up today and see if you can get lucky as well.

Summer Reading Programs

Summer is finally here and while that means lots of fun it also means a lot of asking yourself what can I do with my child. Most local libraries offer a summer reading program in which children from ages 1-12 can participate. They sponsor story times and usually prizes for reading. My children always look forward to this every year.

The St. George City Library started their summer reading program this week. You sign up and then for every ten books your child reads they get a prize. Prizes are usually in the form of coupons which are redeemable around town for food, treats, or admission to different places. This is a great way to get your kids excited about reading.

Also be sure and check while you are in your local library to see if they have the Governors Reading Challenge packets (Utah only). If so pick one up for each of your children and at the end of the summer mail it in and your child will receive a certificate from the Governor along with a bunch of coupons for free meals at different places. One of these is always a Free Happy Meal at McDonald's.
Call or head into your local library and see what type of program they might be offering.

Old Navy Coupons on Post Cereal

Has anyone else seen the Old Navy coupons on the boxes of Kids Post Cereal (ex.-fruity pebbles, alpha-bits, etc.). I noticed these when I bought a few boxes a couple of weeks ago. You might want to check you cereal because these coupons paired with the sale Old Navy is having right now make for a pretty sweet deal.

The coupons are that if you buy a kids graphic tee you get a kids basic tee FREE. The Graphic tees are on sale this week for $6. So if you bought the two shirts and used the coupon you would end up paying about $3 per shirt which is pretty good.

Updated: This actually works on any card, including Father's Day cards!

Today only in honor of Oprah's last show you can get a free Thank You Card from Tiny Prints. Shipping is free as well. Since my kids still have a week left of school I found in the perfect opportunity to make a thank you card for my daughter's teacher. I have ordered there cards before and have been very happy with them. Follow the link and type in TYOPRAH at checkout to get your card free.

As with any thing related to Oprah it will be hot. The site is running a little slow but not unbearably so. I remember last year when Oprah gave away chicken from KFC they ran out of chicken nationwide. :)

Bloomington Hills Wal-Mart Now Accepting Albertson's Doublers

A friend of mine tipped me off about this. This is exciting news the Bloomington Hills Wal-Mart in St. George Utah is now accepting Albertson's doublers. Same rules apply as at Albertsons- only valid during the dates printed on the doublers and only three per transaction. They have to do it a little differently since they don't scan into their computers but just be patient and if you have a cashier that doesn't know what to do just have them call over a CSN and they will walk them through it.

I verified with customer service today and used two sets of doublers there. This is great because a lot of there stuff is priced lower to begin with so you should be able to finds tons of great deals.

Washington Wal-Mart in St. George is NOT accepting doublers yet... but keep your fingers crossed. I don't know anything about the Hurricane Wal-Mart.

Well Amazon has a new TRADE-IN option where you can simply locate the book you are wanting to sell and then ship it to them. In return they will deposit an amazon gift card in your account. I am super excited about this. I just traded in a few text books and should be getting close to $40 in gift cards in the next week or two.

$20 For $45 Blurb Book

Today only you can get $45 worth of custom book creations from Blurb for only $20.

I'm really excited about this. I like to print my blog into a book and for a 120 page book it's $45 regularly. $20 is an excellent price to print your blog. I think I paid close to $80 last year to do mine.
