Neighbor/Friend Christmas Gift Ideas

Here are a few ideas to give your neighbors or friends.

These rolo snowmen are what I made for the kids I work with and the girls in my daughters class.

They are pretty easy to make but a little time consuming. For the hat I used the end of a glove (which I purchased at the dollar store) and then added a pom pom.

  A Bag of Riesen Candy with a tag that reads "Remember the Riesen for the Season".

 These I made for my son's friends. They are little boxes made into snowmen. The saying "Have a Cool Yule" goes along with them. They are filled with treats and a gift card to Coldstone Creamery.

 Some more treats for some of the kids in my sons class a bag of Jolly Ranchers with the saying "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" attached.

All of these ideas are pretty simple and affordable to reproduce or make on your own.

Free Kids Haircut at JCPENNEY Salon all August

JcPenney Salons are giving away free haircuts to kids in August beginning August 1. 

On August 1 they will buzz, cut, and trim for free first come first serve plus they will donate $1 for every free cut they give (up to $50, 000) to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and 4-H. 

The advertisement I saw said if you can't make it on August 1 to call 855-JCP-KIDS or stop by your JCP salon to schedule a free August appointment while they last.

If you live by a JCP Salon you might want to take advantage of this offer, since we all know we take our kiddos in for a haircut before they go back to school anyways.

Tillamook Cheese is really good cheese too, however it is usually pretty pricey. We usually don't buy it unless it's on a sale like this-so my kids will be excited. Special Occasion Dress $4.97 at Costco

Unfortunately I had already bought my daughter one of these dresses before the mark-down occurred, but lucky for the rest of you.

Costco has some really nice white special occasion dresses (perfect for baptisms, weddings, etc). They usually carry sizes 4-10. I'm not sure what sizes they have left but they have been marked down to $4.97. This is a great deal. These dresses are regularly around $15. 

This deal had been confirmed at the St. George Costco only.

Cheap Cereal and Milk at Smiths

Smiths has a deal going thru Tuesday the 19 where if you buy 5 boxes of Kellogg's Cereal, it automatically takes $5 off your total. Most of the Kellogg's cereal is included in the sale, but certain kinds end up being only $1.88 each after the $5 off. I paired this sale with a $1/3 Kellogg's cereal coupon from the Sunday paper, and also a $1/2 Kellogg's cereal from the smiths coupons you get monthly if you are a Rewards Member. Also in the store on one of the boxes of cereal I found a $3 off 1 gallon of milk coupon when you buy 3 Kellogg's cereal-SWEET! I went to get milk and even got the most expensive brand but none of it was over $3-luckily I had a smart cashier who didn't question it and simply just brought the price of the coupon down to match the price of the milk. 

So I ended up getting 5 boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk for $7.42 that's right around $1.25 per item!

WEekly Rite-Aid Chronicles

I know it has been forever since I have done a Rite-Aid post, maybe I'm just getting lazy. I have still been going to Rite-Aid at least twice a month and some months weekly. It is one of the places I feel like I am still getting steals and not just deals with my coupons. And it's pretty much the only place where you can ever get candy for .50 a piece anymore. So here is what I got, all of this for $10.11.

I had rain-checks for the theatre size boxes of mike and ikes which made them FREE. I had a rain-check for the razors which made them .99. The candy bars were .50 each. And the Pantene was 2/$7. I used 2 bogo coupons and 2 $2 coupons on these. There was also an UP Reward with the Pantene it was $2 when you bought two. So I spent $10.11 and got $4 in UP Rewards loaded to my card for next time I shop.

Cheap Refrigerator Cookies

I know that this post is way late but I am posting it anyways because it is good to know for next time. I found out from the dairy manager at the St. George Harmons that the day after a Holiday (Christmas, Easter, 4th of July, Mothers Day, Halloween, Etc.) they will mark down the seasonal refrigerator cookies to .99. Also if you have coupons for Pillsbury or Nestle cookies you can pair those with the sale for a super sweet deal. My kids love these cookies! They freeze nicely too, so this would be the perfect time to stock up. I am not sure if all Harmons do the same thing but you might want to check the one out in your area. So now you all know the secret. Mothers Day is just around the corner so be on the lookout :)

Printable Milk Coupon Reset

I logged into coupons.com a few minutes ago and just happened to notice that the .75/1 gallon of milk coupon had reset. For me it was on about the third page of the food category. If I clicked on the beverage category it didn't show up. I was able to print to. Get it while you can because these never last long.

Frito Lay Fan Club and House Party Goodies

The last week I have received a couple of nice boxes of goodies in the mail. The first was from the Frito Lay Fan Club...
